Ride by Jane Beck
As of 2008, this ride has only been done once. If part of it went in the opposite direction, where
one was not battling up Childs Road, only to turn right, then to charge up yet another hill, then turning
right to finally face a soul crushing hill on Leeds, this one could work nicely.
Meet at Fairfield Shopping Center on Rt. 896
north of Newark, DE, for a hilly 30 mile ride. Ride Starts at 9:00 a.m.
Lunch will be at the Deer Park in Newark after the ride. Bring water, snack and
$$ for lunch. Directions: Take Rt. 896 North through Newark at the end of
Main Street stay right about one mile to Fairfield Shopping Center on
the left. Park in front of Super Fresh nearer its furthest corner north.
(This ride is probably best left for later in the season when people are more in shape)
